In the name of God Amen I Daniel Godfrey of Hayley in the parrish of Witney in the County of Oxon. Yeoman being sick and weak abut of sound and perfect Mind and Memory praise be to Almighty God for the same Do make and Ordain this my Last Will and Testament in Manner and Form Following First I Comend. my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Creator Hopeing Through the Merrits Death and passion of my Blessed Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ to Inherit Everlasting Salvation And my Body I Comit. to the Earth to be Decently Burryed at the Discretion of my Executrix Hereafter Named and as for my Worldly Goods which it hath pleased Almighty God of his Great goodness to Endow me with I Give and Dispose of them as Followeth Item I will that all my Just Debts and Funerall Expenses be paid and Discharged Item I Give and Devise to my Loveing Wife Sarah Godfrey and her Heirs for Ever All that my Coppy Hold Estate as well as my House and Homestall as all my other Lands Lying and being in the Libertys of Hayley aforesaid And also all my Freehold Estate Lying and being in the said Liberty’s of Hayley aforesaid She paying and Dischargeing all those Legacies hereinafter by me bequested and Devised Item I give and Bequeath to my Son John Godfrey the Sume of Five pounds of Lawfull Money Item I Give and Bequeath to my Son Thomas Godfrey the Sume of Twenty Shillings of Like Money Item I Give and Bequeath to my Son Daniell Godfrey the Sume of Twenty Shillings of Like Money Item I Give and Bequeath to my Son William Godfrey the Sume of Twenty Shillings of Like Money Item I Give and Bequeath to my Son in Law Joseph Haines the Sume of Two Shillings & Sixpence of Like Money Item I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Tuckey the Sume of Twenty Shillings of Like Money Item I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Mary Godfrey the Sume of Twenty Shillings of Like Money Item I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Sarah Godfrey the Sume of Twenty Shillings of Like Money Item I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Hannah Godfrey the Sume of Twenty Shillings of Like Money Item I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Jane Godfrey the Sume of Twenty Shillings of Like Money And my Will is that these my Legacies be paid within One Year Next after my Decease And for all the rest and residue of my Estate both Reall and personall Whatsoever and Wheresoever I give and Bequeath to my Loveing Wife Sarah Godfrey Whome I Constitute Full and Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament Revokeing and Makeing Void all Former Wills heretofore by me made In Witness whereof I the Said Daniel Godfrey hereunto hath Subscribed my Name and Affixed my Seall this Twenty Second Day of November in the Year of Our Lord Christ One Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty One Daniel Godfree Signed Sealed published and Declared by the said Daniel Godfrey as his Last Will and Testament in the presence of Us who subscribe our Names as Witnesses to the same John Whiter Jno Levett Robt.
