Richard Kersey This is the last Will & Testament of me Richard Kersey of Stadhampton in the County of Oxford Victualler I give & devise unto my ffriends Thomas Anderson of Brockhampton in the said County of Oxford yeoman & Richard Rogers of Denton in the said County of Oxford yeoman & their Heirs all those my three ffreehold Messuages Cottages or Tenements Heredits & Premises with their Stabling Outhouses & Appurts thereto belonging situate & being in the parish of Stadhampton afsd two of which are now in my own occupation and the other in the possession or occupation of Mrs Tripp during the Minority of my said Son John & from & immediately after my said Son John shall have attained his age of Twenty one years then upon Trust that they my Trustees & the survivor of them & his Heirs do & shall immediately thereupon Grant & release my said ffreehold Messuages Cottages or Tenements Heredits & Premises to my said Son John his Heirs & assigns for ever provided always & my Will further is that it may & shall be lawful to & for my said Trustees & the survivor of them and his Heirs during the minority of my said Son John to let my said Cottages Tenements Heredits and Premises to any person or persons they shall think fit & proper for any term or number of years not exceeding the minority of my said son John at the best & most improved yearly rent that can be had or gotten for the same and I also give devise & bequeath unto my said trustees & the Surv'or of them his Ex'ors & Adm'ors All my Household Goods & ffurniture Plate China Ware Linen Wearing apparel & Household utensils which I may be poss'ed of at the time of my decease In trust to permit my ffriend Ann Preston of Oxford to have thereout my two best Beds Bedsteads Blankets Pillows Counterpanes sheets & Linen & preserve the same for my said son John on his attaining his age of twenty one years & then to deliver the same over to him And as to the residue of my said Household ffurniture & effects I do hereby direct that my said trustees & the surv'or of them his Ex'ors or Adm'ors shall be at liberty to use? their and his discretion as to the full disposition thereof either to sell the same to any incoming Tenant or Tenants of my said ffreehold Messuages or by Public Auction as to them shall seem meet & most advantageous & my mind & Will further is that in case the money arising from such Sale & Book Debts be not sufficient to discharge my incumbrances then I authorise & empower my said trustees or the surv'or of them & his Heirs to raise by way of Mortgage upon the ffreehold Premises such a sum of Money as shall be necessary to discharge the whole and Apprentice John to a carpenter and to pay & apply the rents Issues and Profits in discharge of the Interest Money I give ffive pounds each to my son Moses and my son Samuel to be paid by my said son John when he shall arrive at the age of Twenty one years and as to all the rest residue & remainder of my estate whatsoever whether Real or personal I hereby give devise & bequeath the same & every part thereof to my said Trustees & the Surv'or of them his Heirs Ex'ors & Adm'ors In trust for my Son John and I do hereby Nominate and Appoint my said trustees Ex'ors of this my Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this second day of November 1812 Richd Kersey O Signed Sealed published and declared by the Testator as and for his last Will & Testament in the Presence of us who at his request in his presence & in the presence of each other have hereto subscribed our names as witnesses Philip Rackham Thomas Young Robert Clacy Proved at London 16th Dec'r 1813 before the judge by the oaths of Thomas Anderson & Richard Rogers the Ex'ors to whom Admon was granted having been first sworn (by Com'on) duly to Adm'er | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
