Transcriber's Notes | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The will is undated -- it stops dead after "... set my hand and seal this" The spelling is so strange that it is sometimes hard to guess what he means: Is "leaf silvers" the name of the house, or what? Is "leat Bridges" the name of the piece of ground, or should it be "late Bridges", ie formerly the property of Mr Bridges? Is "Barington Poor" a person, or the poor of Barrington? -- there are a few POOR(E)s in Bampton PRs, though no Barrington P. The following details are believed to be true but should not be totally relied upon: "simon Dackon" is thought to be Simon DEACON who married Ann ANDREWS Bampton 1796 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
