  • I give my son John Beckinsale and his heirs (after my wife Martha Beckinsale's decease) one sixth part of the moiety of my three quarterns of land and housing, on condition that he delivers up to be voided the £40 bond which I sealed to him.
  • I give my son Richard Beckinsale and his heirs (after my wife's decease) one sixth part of [the property], on condition that he delivers up to be voided the £40 bond which I sealed to him.
  • I give my son William Beckinsale and his heirs (after my wife's decease) one sixth part of [the property], on condition that he cancels the lease of indenture which I sealed to him and William Haskins alias Hodgkins on the security of £40 to be paid to them after my decease and that of my now wife Martha.
  • I give my son Marke Beckinsale and his heirs (after my wife's decease) one sixth part of [the property].
  • I give my daughter Susanna (after my wife's decease) one sixth part of [the property], and to the children of her body forever after her decease.

In the name of God Amen I Richard Beckinsale of Weald in the parish of Bampton in the County of Oxon yeoman weake in Bodie but of perfect mind and memory praysed be god for it Doe here make my last will & Testament the second day of Aprill in the yeare of our lord god 1681 as followeth ffirst I give and Bequeath my soule into the hands of Allmighty god my maker and redeemer Trusting most assuredly to be saved by the merrits of Jesus Christ my only Savior and redeemer and my Bodie to be Buried at the discreation of my Executrix hereafter named Item I give and bequeath unto my Sonn John Beckinsale & his heirs one six part of all the moyety of my three quarterns of land & houseing after my wife Martha Beckinsale's decease conditionly that my Sonn John shall deliver up the Bond I sealled to him for fforty pounds & to be void & of none effect Item I give and Bequeath unto my sonn Richard Beckinsale & his heirs one six part of all the moyety of my three quarterns of land & houseing after my wife Martha Beckingsale's decease conditionly that my sonn Richard Beckinsale shall deliver up the Bond I sealled to him for fforty pounds to be void and of none effect Item I give and Bequeath unto my sonn William Beckinsale & his heirs one six part of all the moyety of my three quarterns of land and houseing after my wife Martha Beckinsales decease conditionly that my sonn William shall cansell & make void and of none effect the lease of indenture I sealled to him and one William Haskins alias Hodgkins for the securyty of fforty pounds to be payd to them after my decease & Martha my now wifes Item I give and Bequeath unto my sonn Marke Beckinsale & his heirs one six part of all the moyety of my three quarterns of land and houseing after my decease and Martha my wifes to him & his heirs Item I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Susanna & to her Children begot of her bodie & to them for ever after the decease of Susanna my daughter one six part of all the moyety of my [correction] three quarterns of land with the six part of my houseing after my decease & Martha my wifes Item I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Martha and the children begot of her bodie & to them for ever after the decease of my daughter Martha All the Six part of the Moyety of my three quarterns of land & houseing after my decease and Martha my wifes All the rest of my goods & Chattles unbequeathed my debts and legacies being payd & performed I give and Bequeath unto my loveing wife Martha Beckinsale whome I Make whole executrix of this my last will and Testament and my Overseers I do desire my Brother Thomas Beckinsale & my neighboure Richard Lisset to see this my last will performed In witness whereof I the said Richard Beckinsale have hereunto set my hand & seale the day and year above written
