Transcriber's and Editor's Notes
It seems that his executor was under 21 when the will was made, but probate was normal a year later, so perhaps the executor reached 21 in the meantime. Colington Haven was a coastal village in SW England (I think) which had suffered disastrous flooding, and the Church had launched a national appeal.

... I Richard Broksum of Tadmarton, weaver ... My body is to be buried in the churchyard of Tadmarton. I give to the relief of my poor neighbours in Tadmarton 3s. I give Colington Haven 3d. I give Richard Mercer 26s which is in his father's hand at present. I give Robart Hawten's sons Thomas, Richard, Robert and John equal shares in one cow: they are to have her at next Martinmas. I give Elizabeth Hawten one brass pot and the round table. I give Margett Hawten my second [sic] I give Julian Hawten the best platter. I give Alice Hawten the worst platter. I give Marian Jarvie one sheet, neither the best nor the worst. I give Robert Hawten my best jerkin and my best shirt. I give Thomas Jarvye my russet coat. I give Richard Hancock my best hose. I give Humfrey Tue my second shirt. I give Joane Tue the towel on the cupboard head. To Brodarton my worst hose and a pair of shoes? for his wife. To John Spratly an old shirt. I give Annes? Hawten 2s. I give all the rest of my goods (my body buried and debts paid) to Thursten Hawten, son of Robert Hawten, and make him sole executor.
