I Simon BUSBY sick of body . . . .
  • I give . . . my body to the earth from whence it was taken.
  • I give unto the mother church 2d.
  • I give unto John Busby my eldest son a cow being an heifer of a brown colour.
  • I give to each of his children a sheep apiece.
  • I give unto Margaret Busby the wife of the said John Busby a pair of hempen sheets.
  • These portions I will to be delivered within one year next after my decease.
  • I give unto Alice Radford the wife of Henry Radford my daughter a pair of hempen sheets and a heifer to be delivered within one year next after my decease.
  • I give unto Thomas Radford the son of the said Henry Radford a cow to be delivered unto him? when he shall come to the age of 21 years.
  • I give unto John Radford the son of the said Henry Radford a sheep and unto Edmund Radford the son of the said Henry Radford a sheep to be delivered within one year next after my decease.
  • I give unto the poor of Deddington and Clifton 10/- in money to be disbursed among them at the day of my burial.
  • I give unto the Church of Deddington a bushel of barley to be delivered within one year next after my death.
  • All the residue of my goods, cattell, household stuff whatsoever moveable and unmoveable unbequeathed I do give wholly unto William Busby my son whom I do make and ordain to be the sole and only Executor of this my last will and testament willing and charging him in the name of God that he see these my legacies and debts paid, my funeral discharged revoking all former wills whatsoever.

In the name of God Amen I Simon
Busby sicke of bodye but of p'fect mind and memory
make and ordaine this my last will and Testam't
in mann' and forme folowinge ffirst I give
and bequeath my soule into the hands of my Re
deemer and my bodye to the earth from whence
it was taken my wordlie goods thus I dispose
ffirst I give untoo the mother church ijd Itm
I give unto John Busby my eldest sonne a cow
beinge an heiffer of a browne collor Itm I give
to each of his children a sheepe a peece to each
of them Itm I give unto Margarett Busby the
wiffe of the said John Busby a paire of hempen
sheets these porcons I will to be deliv'ed w'thin one
yere next after my decease Itm I give unto
Alice Radford the wyffe of Henry Radford my
daughter a paire of hempen sheets and a heiffor
to be deliv'ed w'thin one yere next after my de
cease Itm I give unto Thomas Radford the sonne
