Busby Simon de Clifton par' Dadington In the name of God Amen The thirteenth day of August in the second year of ye Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord & Lady William & Mary of England, Scotland, ffrance & Ireland, King & Queen defenders of ye faith &c Annoq' D'ni 1690 I Simon Busby of Clifton in ye p'sh of Dadington in the County of Oxon Glasier being of p'fect memory & remembrance praised be God do make & ordaine this my last will & Testam't in manner & forme following &c ffirst I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker hoping that through the meritorious deat & passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour & Redeemer to receive free pardon & forgiveness of all my sins And as for my body to be buried in Christian buriall att ye discretion of my Ex'tor hereafter named Imp'is I give unto my Godson Simon Busby all my parcell of land lying & being in ye feilds of Adderbury for him & his heirs for ever Item I give unto my Brother Roberts three Sons Robert Thomas & William ye sume of three shillings a peice Item I give unto my Sister Maynards three Bignall all lying & being in ye feilds of Hempton ye sd daughters names are Sarah Catherine & Hannah & I give the said land unto them to be equally divided as share & share alike for them & their heirs for ever Item I give unto my kinsman Joseph Lovedren ye sume of twenty shillings Item I give unto my Brother William Busby the sume of five shillings Item I give unto my kinsman Abraham Plumpton ye sume of four pounds of good & lawfull money of England to be paid unto him w'thin one yeare after my decease Item I give unto my kinsman Mosis Plumpton ye sume of six pounds of good & lawfull money of England to be paid unto him w'thin one yeare after my decease Item all the rest of my goods & chattles I give unto my Brother Robert Busby upon Condition that he shall pay all my debts & Legacies and make him whole & sole Ex'tor of this my last will & Testam't In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seale ye day & year first above written Simon Busby sealed & delivered published & declared in ye p'ence of Samuell Maynard Ann Mainard her marke Jo Kempster Probat' &c apud Chip-norton in Visi' ......
