  • I bequeath my body to be buried in Christian burial at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named.
  • I give unto my godson Simon Busby all my parcel of land lying & being in the fields of Adderbury for him & his heirs for ever.
  • I give unto my brother Robert's three sons Robert, Thomas & William the sum of 3/- apiece.
  • I give unto my sister Maynard's three daughters all my parcel of free land which I did buy of John Bignall all lying & being in the fields of Hempton, the said daughters' names are Sarah Catherine & Hannah & I give the said land unto them to be equally divided as share & share alike for them & their heirs for ever.
  • I give unto my kinsman Joseph Lovedren the sum of twenty shillings.
  • I give unto my brother William Busby the sum of 5/-
  • I give unto my kinsman Abraham Plumpton the sum of £4 of good & lawful money of England to be paid unto him within one year after my decease.
  • I give unto my kinsman Moses Plumpton the sum of £6 of good & lawful money of England to be paid unto him within one year after my decease.
  • All the rest of my goods & chattels I give unto my brother Robert Busby, upon condition that he shall pay all my debts & legacies, and make him whole & sole Executor of this my last will & testament.

In the name of God Amen The thirteenth day of August
in the second year of ye Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord & Lady William & Mary
of England, Scotland, ffrance & Ireland, King & Queen defenders of ye faith &c Annoq' D'ni
1690 I Simon Busby of Clifton in ye p'sh of Dadington in the County of Oxon
Glasier being of p'fect memory & remembrance praised be God do make & ordaine
this my last will & Testam't in manner & forme following &c ffirst I bequeath
my soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker hoping that through the
meritorious deat & passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour & Redeemer
to receive free pardon & forgiveness of all my sins And as for my body to
be buried in Christian buriall att ye discretion of my Ex'tor hereafter named
Imp'is I give unto my Godson Simon Busby all my parcell of land
lying & being in ye feilds of Adderbury for him & his heirs for ever Item
I give unto my Brother Roberts three Sons Robert Thomas & William ye
