In the name of god Amen I Mary Busbie of Clifton in the p'ish of Dadington in the County of Oxon spinstresse beinge sick in bodie but in p'fect memorie thanks be given to god do make my last will and testament this fifte daie of Marche in Anno Dom' 1626 in manner & forme followinge Imp'ris I bequeathe my soule unto Almyghtie God my maker and to Jesus Christ my onelie saviour and redeemer Trustinge through his merits to Raigne w'th him in his kingdome and my bodie to be buried in the p'ish Church worldly goods in manner & forme followinge and for myne executor of ____ last will I ordeyne & Appoint John Busbie my Brother Imp'ris I give unto Elizabeth Gilks widow my Mother the sum' of tenne pounds of good & lawfull money of England Itm I give & bequeath unto Symon Busbie my Brother tenne pounds of like lawfull money of England Itm I give & bequeath unto Christabell Busbie my Sister twentie pounds of like lawfull money of England Itm I give unto Richard Busbie my Brother twentie pounds of like lawfull money of England Itm I give unto Symon Marshall the sonne of Edward Marshall and of my Sister Elizabeth five pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid unto him by my said executor when he shall attaine to the Age of xxj'tie yeares but if it please god the said Simon Marshall to die before he shall attaine to the said Age of xxj'tie yeares then my will is that my said executor shall paie the said five pounds unto the said Elizabeth Gilks my said mother her executors or assignes at that same time when the said Simon Marshall shall dep'te this liffe Itm I give unto Margery Prichet of Dadington Wid my Kinswoman twentie shillings and also I give unto Will'm Prichet her sonne fourtie shillings of like lawfull mo'y of England Itm I give unto Mathew Busbie of Dadington & his wiffe & his Children & to Symon Busbie of Dadington his wiffe & his Children & to William Busbie of Dadington & his wiffe & his Children my kinsfolks to eache of them twelve pence a piece Itm I give unto Edward Taylor of Dadington aforsaid and his wiffe and his Children to eache of them twelve pence a piece Itm I give unto the foure daughters of Robert Busbie late of Barford my Uncle to each of them five shillings a piece Itm I give unto everie of my said Brothers and sist[ers] to eache of them a bible booke of tenne shillin[gs] price & also to my sister Elizabeth the wiffe of [the] said Edward Marshall I give a bible booke of x[s?] price Itm I give unto the Poore people of Dadington the sum'e of twentie shillings to remaine as a stock for ever & th[e] use therof that shall Come to be bestowed yearlie unto the said poore people at the discretion of the ffeoffees & overseers of the said poor for the time bei[ng] Itm I give unto the poore people of Clifton aforesaid tenne shillings in mon'y to be given one my funeral daie at the discretion of my said executor where [he] shall see it most needfull Itm I give unto my two god Children to each of th[em] fyve shillings Itm I give unto my said mother sheepe & my one & my Brother Richard one & my sister Christa[bell] one & the said Wm Prichet one & my brother J[ohn] my said executor thother three the remaine of the said e[ight] sheepe Itm my will is that my said mother shall have the guidinge & bestowinge of all myne Apparell at her pleasure [after] my decease Itm I give unto John Eliot of Dadington aforsaid [___] five shillings of lawfull mo'y of England Itm my Will is that my said executor shall p'vide all the sai[d] bibles given as aforsaid & to deliver them accordinge to th[e] effect of this my will w'thin one moneth next after [my] decease and all & singular the said ____ sums of money [are] to be paid to those sev'all p'ties above expressed w'thin one yeare & a halffe the said five pounds given to the Simon Marshall as a[bove?] Itm I give unto my said Executor all the Rest of my money Coyne household stuffe goods and Chatell whatsoever ungyven & unbequeathed as abovesaid And In Witnes wherof of this said will I the said Mary Busby have hereunto sett my hand and seale the daie and year above written Mary Busbee Witnesses hereunto John Elliotte Robert fforest Probatu' apud Oxon decimo quarto die mensis Aprilis An'o D'ni 1627 cora' .....................................................
