  • I appoint my son John Fardon of Woodstock, watchmaker, my Executor.
  • I give him for his own use all my household goods and furniture, all my moneys, securities for money and all my other personal estate, subject to the payment of my debts, funeral and testamentary expenses, and also to the payment of £10 to each of my grandchildren John Knibbs and Mary Town as soon as is convenient after my decease.
  • I give my messuage or tenement with the garden etc in Adderbury, part of which is now in the occupation of James Ellborough and the other part unoccupied, to my son John Fardon for life, he repairing the premises as necessary and keeping all the buildings insured against fire.
  • After his decease I give the premises to my grandson Thomas Fardon of Deddington, watchmaker, and his heirs etc forever
  • I charge the above premises with the payment of £80 to my grandchildren John Knibbs and Mary Town equally divided, to be paid by my grandson Thomas Fardon within twelve months from the decease of his father the said John Fardon.
  • I give my son John Fardon my messuage or tenement with the outbuildings, yard, garden etc in Little Canterbury Place in Lambeth or elsewhere in Surrey and now in the occupation of William Brook; to my son John Fardon for life, he repairing the premises as necessary and keeping all the buildings insured against fire.
  • After his decease I give the premises to my grandson John Malings Fardon and his executors etc for all my estate and interest.
  • I revoke all other wills

This is the last Will and Testament
of me Thomas Fardon of Deddington in the County of Oxford
Gentleman. I appoint my Son John Fardon of Woodstock in the said County
of Oxford, watchmaker Executor thereof and I give and bequeath to
him his executors and administrators for his and their own use & benefit
all my household goods and furniture of any description and also all
my moneys securities for money and all other my Personal Estate
whatsoever subject nevertheless the payment as soon as conveniently
may be after my decease of all my just debts and funeral & testamentary
expenses and subject also to and charged and chargeable with the payment
of the sum of Ten pounds to each of my Grandchildren John Knibbs and
Mary Town the same to be paid to them respectively as soon as conveniently may
be after my decease. I give and devise all that my messuage or tenement with
the Garden and appurtenants thereto belonging situate in Adderbury in the county
of Oxford, part of which is now in the occupation of James Ellborough and the
other part unoccupied unto my said Son John Fardon during the term of his
natural life ___ from time to time as often as occasion shall require repairing the said
premises and also keeping all and every the Buildings belonging thereto fully
insured against loss or damage by fire and from and immediately after his
decease I give and devise the same premises to my grandson Thomas
Fardon of Deddington aforesaid watchmaker his heirs and assigns for ever
thereafterwards I hereby charge the same premises with the payment of the sum of
Eighty pounds which I give and bequest to my said Grandchildren John
Knibbs and Mary Town the said sum of Eighty pounds to be equally divided
between them share and share alike and to be paid to them respectively or their
respective Executors or administrators by my said Grandson Thomas Fardon within
twelve months from the decease of his father the said John Fardon I also give and
bequeath to my said son John Fardon all that my messuage or tenement with the
outbuildings, yard, Garden and appurtenances situate in Little Canterbury place
in the parish of Lambeth or elsewhere in the County of Surry and now in the
occupation of William Brook To hold the same unto the said John Fardon during
his life. ___ from time to time as often as occasion shall require repairing the said
premises and also keeping all and every the buildings belonging thereto fully
insured against loss or damage by fire and from and immediately after his decease
I give and bequeath the same to my Grandson John Malings Fardon his executors
administrators and assigns for and during all my Estate and interest therein and I
hereby revoke all and every will or wills by me at any time heretofore made and
declare that this writing contains the whole of my last will and testament. In
witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of December??

Thomas Fardon as and for this last will and testament in the presence of us who at
his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto
subscribed our names as witnesses, Eliza Lamb, Willm Ellis Lamb,
Jn Fra's Lamb

Proved at London 24 April 1839 before the Judge by the oath of John
Fardon the Son the sole executor to whom admon was granted having been first
sworn by Com'on duly to administer.
