  • I give my kinsman Robert Hester living at Bensington 1s.
  • I give my kinsman Edward Hester, son of my brother John Hester, 20s.
  • I give my kinswoman Frances Hester, daughter of my brother John, my five half acres of arable land dispersed in the common fields of Aston Rowant, with all their rights etc, to her and her heirs etc forever
  • All the rest of my personal estate, goods and chattels I give to my kinswoman Frances Hester whom I make my sole Executrix ... I revoke all other wills.

In the name of God Amen I Bartholomew Hester the
elder of Kingston Blount wthin the parrysh of Aston Rowant in the County
of Oxon yeoman being weake & infirme of body but of perfect memory (praised
be god) do make & ordaine this my last Will & Testament in manner Following
First I bequeath my Soul into the hands of Allmighty god my maker & redeemer
and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be decently buryed at the
discretion of my Executrix hereafter named And as concerneing my temporall
estate which God in his mercy hath lent me I do dispose thereof as followeth
First I do give & bequeath unto Robert Hester my kinsman liveing at Bensington
one shilling of lawfull money of England
It I do give & bequeath unto my Kinsman Edward Hester the son of my brother
John Hester the sum of Twenty Shillings of like lawfull money of England
It I do give & bequeath unto my Kinswoman Frances Hester the daughter
of my said Brother John Hester all my five half acres of arrable land
(whether the same be more or lesse) lying dispersedly in the comon fieldes of Aston
Rowant afforesaid in the said county of Oxon w'th every of their rights members &
& app'tenaunces To be to the onely __per use & behoofe of my said Kinswoman
Frances Hester and of her heires & assignes for ever
It all the rest of my personall Estate goods & Chattells whatsoever I do give and
bequeath unto my said Kinswoman Frances Hester whom I do make & ordaine
my whole & sole Executrix of this my last will & testam't.
And I do hereby revoke dissaull & make voyd all other Wills & Testam'ts by me
heretofore made
In witnes whereof I the said Bartholomew Hester to this my last Will and
Testam't have set to my hand & seale the Eleaventh day of July In the third
Year of William & Mary King & Queene of England Scotland Frannce
& Ireland defenders of the faith &c Annoq D'ni 1691
