Thomas Johnson I Thomas Johnson of the Parish of Wooton in the County of Oxford being Infirm in Body but of Sound Mind Memory and Understanding Blessed be God for it Do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament in form and manner following that is to say, I Commit my Soul into the hands of Almighty God and my Body to be Buried at the Discretion of my Executors hereinafter named Item I Give and bequeath and Devise unto my only Daughter Silence Johnson all my Real and Personal Estate (except my part of the Estate in Godminster? in Huntingdonshire which I Give unto my loving Wife Eleanor Johnson. Item I Give and Devise unto my loving Wife the sum of Twenty pounds a year so long as she shall continue a Widow and no longer and I do hereby appoint my Good ffriends Mr Thomas Southam and John Hedges Senr my Joint Trustees to my said Child Silence Johnson, signed sealed Published and Declared this ffourteenth Day of April in the year of our Lord God One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Eight Thos Johnson Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of John Lee Mary Lee Sarah Sotham? the witnesses This Will was proved at London the fifteenth Day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty eight before the Worshipful Andrew ____ ____ Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful George Hay also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully Constituted by the Oaths of Thomas Southam and John Hedges the Elder the Executors according to the Tenor thereof unto whom Administration was Granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the Deceased they having been first sworn duly to Administer. |
