Tm Mariae Lucket In the Name of God Amen the Eight and twentyeth day of May in the ninth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George by the grace of God of great Britain ffrance and Ireland King Defender of the ffaith &c Annoq' Domini 1723 I Mary Luckett of Southropp in the Parish of Hook Norton in the County of Oxon Spinster being sick in body but of good and perfect Memory thanks be to Almighty God and calling to Mind the uncertain Estate of this Transitory Life and that all fflesh must yeild unto death when it shall please God to call do make constitute Ordein and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and fform following and first being penitent and sorry for my Sinns past must humbly desiring forgiveness for the same I give and comit my Soul unto Almighty God my Saviour and Redeemer in whom by the Merits of Jesus Christ I trust and beleive assuredly to be saved and to have full Remission and forgiveness of all my Sins and that my Soul with my Body at the general day of Resurrection shall rise again with Joy and through the Merits of Christs death and passion possess and Inherit the Kingdom of Heaven prepared for his elect and chosen and my Body to be buryed in such place where it shall please my Executor hereafter named to appoint and now for the setling of my Temporal Estate and such Goods Chattles and Debts as it hath pleased God far above my deserts to bestow upon me I do Order give and dispose the same in manner and form following (that is to say) ffirst I will that all those debts that I owe in Right or Conscience to any manner of Person or Persons whatsoever shall be well and truly contented and payd by my Executor hereafter named within convenient time after my decease Imprimis I give unto my loving Brother John Luckett one Pewter Dish One Coffer one Cubbard one Pillow Drawer one Napkin one pair of Sheets one striped Bedd Curtins and Vallins and Bedstead and all other ffurniture belonging to the same and after his decease my Will is that my Kinswoman Mary Antill shall have the same said striped Bed Curtins and Vallins and Bedstead and all other ffurniture belonging to the same Also I give unto my said Brother one Pewter Chamber Pott one Table Cloth one ffire Shovel and Tongs one little Down Pillow one little Brass Kettle one Brass Skillett Also I give devise and bequeath unto my said Brother John Luckett All that my Cottage or Tenement lately gave unto me and my Heirs for ever by one Anthony Prentice the same being scituate in Hook Norton aforesaid I give devise and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my said Brother John Luckett and to his Heirs and Assigns forever Also I give unto my Kinswoman Mary Bailey my Black silk Hood and Scarf one Sattin Petticoat one Collered Silk Handkercheif One pair of Gloves One Sarsenett Hood one Pewter Dish one smoothing Iron two Hollon Hoods one joint Stool three Sheets one red Cloath Petticoat one Napkin one Bedd and four White Aprons and all the Rest of my Wearing Apparell (excepting those hereafter named Item I give unto my Kinswoman Hannah Wells one Holland Shift one black silk Petticoat one silk Handkercheif one Napkin Item I give unto my Kinswoman Mary Coleing my green gown and Petticoat one coloured silk Handkercheif one pair of Gloves one Shift one Apron one black and white strip't petticoat one strip't Musling hood and one Napkin Item I give unto my Kinswoman Mary Antill one Silk Gown and Petticoat one gold Ring one Sarsenet Hood one fflaxen Sheet one Pillowbear one Napkin one Pewter Dish one Porringer one Pewter Cupp one Brass Candlestick one Sute of Pinners? one white dimity Petticoat one black Petticoat one Ridinghood one great Trunk two Dowlas? Silk Gown and Petticoat one silver Candlestick one Pewter Dish one brass Spice Mortar one Napkin one Pillowbear one fflaxen Sheet one Porringer one striped Apron Item I give unto my Kinsman Charles Wilkins his Executors Administrators and Assigns the Sum' of ffive Pounds Brittish money to be payd to him within five years after my decease Item I give unto my Kinswoman Mary Scrivener the Sum' of ten pounds like Money to be payd to her within five years after my decease Item I give unto my Kinsman Thomas Hyott the Sum of twelve pounds of like money to be payd to him within three years after my decease Item I give unto my Kinsman John Hyett the Sum of tenn Pounds of like money to be payd to him within three years after my decease Item I give unto my Kinsman Richard Hyett the Sum' of Tenn Pounds of like Money to be payd to him within three years after my decease Item I give unto my Kinswoman Mary Bailey the Sum of twenty Pounds of like money to be payd to her within three years after my decease and that she shall have the same at her own disposal Item I give unto my Kinswoman Hannah Wells the Sum' of Tenn Pounds of like money to be payd to her within three years after my decease but if in case either of my said Kinsmen or Kinswoman (that is to say) Thomas Hyett John Hyett Richard Hyett or Hannah Wells shall happen to depart this Life before his her or their Legacyes shall become due that then my Will is that the Legacy or Legacyes of such Legatee or Legatees so dying shall goe to and amongst the Survivor or Survivors of them share and share alike if they or either of them shall dye without Issue Item I give unto my Kinsman John Luckett the Sum of ffive Pounds of british Money to be payd to him within three years after my decease Item I give unto my Kinsman Alexander Luckett the Sum' of ten pounds of like money to be payd to him within three years after my decease or at such time and times as my Executor hereafter named shall think fitt Item I give unto my Kinswoman Mary Antill the Sum of ten pounds of like money to be payd to her within three year after my decease Item I give unto my Kinswoman Hannah Antill the like Sum of Ten pound of british Money to be payd to her within three years after my decease but if in case either of them the said Mary Antill or Hannah Antill shall depart this life before such Legacy become due or dye sole and unmarryed that then my Will is that such Legacy shall goe to the Survivor Item I give I give unto my [sic Orig'] Kinswoman Mary Coleing the Sum of ten Pounds of British money to be payd to her within one year after my decease and that she shall have the same to her own disposal Item all the rest residue and Remainder of my personal Estate Goods Chattles and Cattle of what nature or kind soever the same is or where soever the same shall be found my Legacyes being payd and discharged I doe hereby give devise and bequeath the same and every part and parcel thereof unto my dear beloved Brother John Luckett whom I do make full and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament conteining two Sheets of Paper and have sett my hand and Seal to the topp and last Sheet thereof and declare this and none other to be my last Mary Luckett her mark.
