John Maycock This is the last Will and Testament of me John Maycock the elder of Walcott in the Parish of Charlbury in the County of Oxford Yeoman first I will that all my just Debts and ffuneral Expences shall be fully satisfied paid and discharged by my Executrix herein after named and as for my Worldly Estate I dispose thereof as followeth that is to say I give and devise all that my Copyhold Messuage or Tenement with the Outhouses Garden Ground and all Appurtenances to the same belonging which I Purchased of and from William Poole and now in the Tenure or Occupation of John Hall situate and being in Charlbury aforesaid unto my son John Maycock and his Heirs for ever he my said son John Maycock paying out of the same unto my Grand sons Thomas Maycock (son of my said son John) John Maycock son of my son William Maycock and George Maycock (son of my son George Maycock) the sum of five Pounds apiece to be paid to them at their several and respective ages of twenty one years and if either of them shall die before he shall Attain his age of twenty one years I will that the said sum of five pounds herein before by me ordered to be Paid shall descend and go to and be Paid to the Survivors or Survivor of my said Grand sons share and share alike also I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Maycock the sum of five Pounds also I give to my son William Maycock the sum of five shillings also I give to my son George Maycock five shillings also I hereby give and bequeath all and singular my Monies in the Publick ffunds and stocks unto and amongst my Grand sons being the sons of my late son Joseph Maycock Deceased (that is to say) unto John Maycock William Maycock and Stephen Maycock to be equally divided between them share and share alike when and as soon as the youngest of them shall attain his age of twenty one years Also I give and bequeath unto my Daughter in Law Mary Maycock of Walcott aforesaid Widow my ffurnace Brewing Vessels and utensils and all and singular my Household Goods and ffurniture of what nature or kind soever Upon Trust nevertheless that she the said Mary Maycock her Executors Administrators or Assigns shall well truly and equally divide the same unto and betwixt her two Daughters Ann Maycock and Martha Maycock and deliver up all the same to them at their respective ages of twenty one Years or day of Marriage which shall first happen share and share alike all the rest residue and remainder of my Personal Estate Mortgages Bonds Bills ready Money Goods Chattels Rights and Credits and every thing that is mine and not herein before disposed of I give and bequeath unto my said Daughter in Law Mary Maycock of Walcott aforesaid to hold to her the said Mary Maycock her Executors Administrators and Assigns and I hereby make ordain constitute and appoint my said Daughter in Law Mary Maycock of Walcott aforesaid sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Will or Wills by me at any time heretofore made In Witness whereof I the said John Maycock the elder have to this my last Will and Testament set my Hand and Seal this thirtieth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy four the mark X of John Maycock (O) Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said John Maycock the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the Presence of us who at his request and in his Presence and Sight and in the Presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses hereunto /-/ James Rogers /-/ Ant'y Knibbs /-/ William Draper This Will was Proved at London the third day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy six before the Right Worshipful Sir George Hay Knight Doctor of Laws Master keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Mary Maycock Widow the sole Executrix named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the Deceased she having been first sworn by Commission duly to administer | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
