This is the last Will and Testament
of me Joseph Painter of Wootton in the County
of Oxford Yeoman, being of sound Mind After
payment of my just Debts and Funeral Expences
I give and devise to my Nephew Joseph Painter
Son of (my Brother) John and Elizabeth Painter
one hundred and fifty pounds; and to my
Nephew Joseph Painter Son of (my Brother)
Timothy and Elizabeth Painter one hundred
pounds Then I give all the residue of my my Real and
Personal Estates of whatsoever wheresoever to my
Brothers and Sister (That is to say) my Brothers Henry
Painter, Timothy Painter, Stephen Painter, John
Painter and my Sister Elizabeth Preedy share
and share alike, of my said Real and Personal
Estates and make my Brothers Henry Painter
and Stephen Painter Sole Executors of this my
last Will and Testament whereunto I have set
my hand and Seal this eight day of January
in the Year of our Lord 1827

Henry Painter and Stephen Painter
the executors in the Will named were
sworn to the truth thereof and as
usual And that the goods chattels
and credits of the deceased do not
amount in value to the sum of
three thousand pounds
      before me

This will was proved at Oxford on the twenty ninth day of
December in the year of our Lord 1827 before The Reverend John
Laming? Turner Clerk Master of Arts Surrogate of the Reverend
George Turner Clerk Master of Arts Official Principal of the
Reverend the Archdeacon of Oxford lawfully constituted
by the Oath of Henry Painter and Stephen Painter the Brothers
and Executors therein named to whom Adm'on was granted
being first sworn duly to administer.
