  • I revoke all other wills.
  • I give my son William Parrat of BKM Wotton Underwood £5, to be paid within six months after my decease.
  • I give my son Thomas Parratt of London £5 and my gold ring, to be delivered within six months after my decease.
  • I give my daughter Allice Perkins £5 to be paid within six months after my decease.
  • I give my daughter Mary Middleton the bed in the farther chamber, one flock bolster, the coverlet that lies on my bed, my best hat and one pewter platter.
  • I give my daughter Dorathy Parratt £5 to be paid within six months after my decease, also my feather bed, two feather pillows, one flock bolster, my holland sheet and pillowbere? the great brewing kettle, a new barrel and the still it stands on, a round table, the stool her trunk stands on, one frying-pan, one brass pan, one iron dripping-pan, one spit, one mincing knife, one pair of andirons, one hanging link in the chimney, two skillets, one brass ladle, one great pewter salt-cellar, all my glass bottles and my great chest.
  • I give my daughter-in-law Mary Parratt, wife of John Parratt ,one warming-pan, my second best black petticoat and two of my best shifts.
  • I give my grandson Benjamin Bales £1, to be paid within six months after my decease.
  • I give my grandson and godson Thomas Parratt and my granddaughter and goddaughter Mary Townsend 10s each, to be paid at the same time as Benjamn Bales’s.
  • I give my granddaughter Prudence Golder £5, to become due to her within six months after my decease.
    The money is not to be paid to her nor to her father, but my Executor is to give her bond for it, paying her yearly interest from the time that it becomes due (or he is to put it into other safe hands).
    The £5 is to be paid to her at age 21 or earlier marriage.
    If she dies, the £5 is to be paid to her sister Elizabeth, with interest due from Prudence's decease.
    If Elizabeth dies, the £5 is to go to her brother John, paid as above.
  • I give all my linen and wearing clothes not as specified above to my three daughters Allice Perkins, Dorothy Parratt and Mary Middleton equally divided.
  • I give my granddaughter Sarah Parratt my bedstead, curtains and valance and the box that my linen is kept in.
  • I give my grandson Richard Parrat my brass scales and the wooden mortar and pestle.
  • I give my son Richard Parratt all the rest of my goods, and appoint him my Executor, desiring him to place two stones at the head of my husband's grave and my own, for which I leave him 20s.

Perrott Prudence de Bletchington

In the Name of God Amen. I Prudence Parratt
of Bletchington in the County of Oxford Widdow being weak in Body, but
of perfect mind & memory, doe make this my last Will & Testament (Revoke
ing all other Wills by me formerly made.) First I bequeath my Soul into
the hands of God who gave it me, & my Body to the Earth to be interr’d in
decent manner at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named. And as
for the Worldly goods, it hath pleased God to bless me w'thall, I give and bequeath
in manner following - First I give to my Son William Parrat of Wotton-
under-Wood in ye County of Bucks the sum' of five pounds of good & Lawfull
money of England, to be paid to him within six Months after my decease
by my Executor - Item I give unto my Son Thomas Parratt of London the
sum' of five pounds of good & Lawfull money of England, as also my Gold Ring,
to be paid & delivered to him within six months after my decease by my Executor -
Item I give unto my Daughter Allice Perkins the sum' of five pounds of good & Law
full money of England to be paid to her w'thin six months after my decease by my
Executor - Item I give unto my Daughter Mary Middleton the bed that lies in
the farther chamber, & one flock bolster, together w'th the Coverlett that lies upon my
bed, my best hat & one pewther platter - Item I give unto my Daughter Dorathy Parratt the
sum' of five pounds of good & lawfull money of England to be paid to her w'thin six
Months after my decease by my Executor, as also I give unto ye said Dorathy Parratt
my Feather bed, two Feather Pillows, & one flock bolster, together w'th my holland
sheet & Pillowver? - Moreover I give unto ye said Dorathy the great Brewing Kettle, a
new Barrell & ye Still it stands on, a round table, & the stool her trunck stands on,
one frying-pan, one brass pan, one Iron dripping-pan, one spitt, one minceing
knife, one pair of And-Irons, one hanging Link in the chimney, two Skillets, one
Brass Ladle, one great pewther Salt seller & all my Glass Bottles, & my great Chest -
Item I give unto my Daughter in Law Mary Parratt ye Wife of John Parratt one Warmeing
pan, my second best black Petticoat, & two of my best shifts - Item I give unto my
Grandson Benjamin Bales the sum' of one pound, to be paid to him wtin w'thin
six months after my decease – Item I give unto my Grandson & Godson thomas Parratt
the sum' of ten stil shillings – Item I give unto my Grand-Daughter & God-Daughter
Mary Townsend the sum' of ten shillings, w'ch two Legacies I desire may be paid at the
same time w'th Benjamn Bales’s – Item I give unto my Grand-Daughter Prudence
Golder the sum' of five pounds of good & Lawfull money of England, to be come
due to her w'thin six months after my decease. But my Will & pleasure is that the
five pounds be not then paid neither to her nor to her Father, But that my Executor give
her bond for the money, paying her yearly interest from the time that it became due,
or that he put it into other safe hands: And then that the full sum' of five pounds be
afterwards paid to her either upon the day of her marriage, or when she comes to the Age
of one & twenty years. - But in case of her Mortality, I will that the said money be paid
to her sister Elizabeth, together w'th the interest as it becomes due after the decease of

Prudence, according to ye time before mention'd – And in case of Elizabeths decease,
then to become due to her Brother John & to be paid according to the time before
mention’d. And this I particularly charge my Executor with. Item I give unto
my three Daughters Viz't Allice Perkins, Dorothy Parratt, & Mary Middleton, all my Linnen
& wearing cloaths (not specified in my Will) to be equally divided among them –
Item I give unto my Grand Daughter Sarah Parratt my bed-stead & curtains & vallaints,
& the Box that my Linnen lies in – Item I give unto my Grand Son Richard Parrat
my Brass Scales & the Wooden Mortar & Pestle – Item I give unto my Son Rich'd
Parratt all the rest of my goods & do make & appoint him Executor of this
my last Will & Testament desireing him to place two stones at ye head of my
husbands grave & my own, for w'ch I leave him twenty shillings.
