Buried 7 Jan 1714/15 Oxford St Peter-in-the East. Vice-President of Magdalen Hall and Vicar of St Peter-in-the-East. He mentions his intention to add a codicil, but there is no sign of it at TNA and it is not mentioned in the Probate so presumably either he forgot or it was lost during the intervening 14 years.

... I Josiah Pullen MA of St Mary Magdalene Hall ... I give my lease of house and land in St. Giles (held from St Johns College Oxford) and my little land in BKM Oving to my nephew John Pullen, Rector of SOM Holwall, toward the education of his son John, Commoner of Magdalen Hall. After his decease I give [it] to his son. I give the following legacies: 20s each to my brothers William and Jonathan. 20 broad pieces of gold to Jonathan's daughter. £10 to my nephew Thomas Lawrence and £5 to his lame brother. £5 to Thomas Stamp. 40s to the poor of St. Peters in the East, to be disposed by the Minister and Churchwardens. I give everything not disposed of in this will or in a codicil which I intend to be annexed to John Pullen, Rector of Holwall, and appoint him sole Executor. T'm Josiae Pullen In the Name of God Amen I Josiah Pullen M'r of Arts of St Mary Magdalene Hall Oxon doe make this my last Will and Testament In the first place I com'end my Soul into the hands of Almighty God which I humbly beseech him mercifully to receive looking upon it not as it is in its self deeply polluted with Sin but as redeemed and purged with the precious blood of his onely begotten Son and my most dear Saviour Jesus Christ in confidence of his alone merits and mediation it is that I cast my self upon the mercy of God for the pardon of my Sins and the hopes of eternal life for my corruptible body I bequeath it to the Earth to be decently buried with as little expence as conveniently may be ffor my Lease of house and Land in St. Giles which I hold from St Johns Coll: in Oxford and that little Land in Oving in Buckinghamshire I bequeath them to my Nephew John Pullen Rector of Holwall in the County of Somerset toward the education of his Son John Com'oner of Magd: Hall and to the same his Son after his ffathers decease To my Brother William twenty Shillings To my Brother Jonathan twenty Shillings And to his Daughter twenty broad pieces of Gold To my Nephew Thomas Lawrence ten pounds To his lame Brother ffive pounds To Thomas Stamp ffive pounds To the Poor of St. Peters in the East Oxon fforty Shillings to be disposed by the Minister and Churchwardens of the said Parish And of this my Will I appoint the foresaid John Pullen Rector of Holwall sole Executor to whom I bequeath all things not disposed of in this Will or in a Codicil which I intend shall be annexed And of this my Will I appoint Mr John Smith M'r of Arts of Magd: Hall Overseer to whom I order my Executor to give a Guinea to buy him a Ring In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal the 9th day of December AD 1701.
