In the name of God Amen I Richard Sadgrove of Goring in the County of Oxen being in health & in sound & disposing memory praised be God for it do make this my last will & Testament in manner & forme following that is to say First & principally I resigne my soul into the mercyfull hands of Almighty God my Creator assuredly hoping through ye meritts of my blessed saviour to obtain remission of all my Sins & my body I comitt to ye earth whence it was taken to be decently buried by ye discretion of my Executor herein after named And as for ye worldly goods & estate the Lord hath lent me I dispose thereof as followeth. Impris I give and bequeath to my eldest Son Edmund Sadgrove one shilling to be paid soon after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Henry Sadgrove four pounds to be paid within six months after my decease Item I give & bequeath unto my daughter Ann Kershan four pounds to be paid within two moneths after my decease Item I give & bequeath unto my daughter Ann Kestians two Children y’ is to say Thomas & Jane Kestian twenty shillings a peice to be paid within two moneths after my decease & to be occupied for their use in case either of them should dye before ye money be due it is wholy to remain to the survivor Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Margarett Pettyphers seaven Children eleven pounds that is to say thirty shillings a peice to ye six eldest & forty shillings to her youngest Son Alexander Pettipher to be paid soon after my decease & to be occupied for their use & in case any of them should dye before the money be due his part is to remaine amongst the other six & all the rest & residue of my estate goods cattell & chattles not herein before bequeathed after my debts & funeral expences discharged I do give & bequeath unto my daughter Margarett Pettipher whom I do make sole Executrix of this my last will & Testament revoking all other wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seal this 12th day of April Ano Dm 1686.
