Testator's wife's name is not given in the Will and is blank in the Probate, but Exhibition has Ann.
A name which may be "Mr Freeman" also appears in the Exhibition, but the Latin writing is too difficult
Perhaps he is standing in for Ann Seary.

  • I give my natural son Edmund Seary £3
  • I give his son Philip my grandson 20s and to the rest of his children 5s apiece
  • I give my natural son John 10s
  • I give his son John being my grandson ___
  • I give my son Raphe Searry £3 and all my wearing apparel except my best coat which I give to my son Edmund
  • I give my son Thomas £10 of that which is owing me in my Book.
  • I give my natural daughter Margret Greenerway £10
  • I give my natural daughter Marjery Robenson 5s
  • The above legacies shall be paid within two months after my decease.
  • All my goods, chattels, catell, credits and debts not already given, the legacies and my funeral discharged, I give to my loving wife whom I make my full & sole Executrix

In the name of God Amen I Thomas Sseary of Aston in the p[ar]ish of Bampton in the County of Oxon Blacksmith beinge weake in body But of good and p[er]fect (?) mind and memory thanks Be given to God callinge to mind the uncertayne estat of this life beinge short & transitory & if all fflesh must yeald when it plese God to Call. Doe make constitut ordeyne & Declare & this my Last will and Testament revokinge all other made or pretented to be made by word or writtings and first beinge penitent & sory for all my sins of omission & Comission most humbly desiringe p[ar]don (?) & fforgivenes of them all I doe Give and Commit my soul unto Almighty god my saviour & redeemer Assuredly trustinge by him to have (?) full comission of them all trustinge to inherit the Kingdom prepared for his Elect and my body to the earth whereof it (?) was made & for my temporal estat wich god hath ben plesed to bestow upon me I doe order & Dispose in manner and forme following ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Item I Give and bequeath unto my sonn Raphe Searry: three pounds And all my wearing Aparrill exceptinge my best Cotte and that I Give and bequeath unto my sonn Edmund Afforenamed Item I give & bequeath unto my sone Thomas: ten pounds of that wich is owing me in my Booke Item I give and bequeath unto my naturall Daughter Margret Greenerway: ten pounds Item I Give and bequeath unto my naturall Daughter Marjery Robenson: ffive shillings Item my will is that those Legasice before given & bequeathed shall be payd within to months After my Decease Item my true will and meaninge is that all my Goods Chattell Catell Credits Debts whatsoever not given & bequeathed the Legasies and my ffunerall discharged I give and bequeath unto my Lovinge wife whom I make my ffull & sole Executrix of this my Last will and Testament Item I Doe Intreat my Lovinge ffriends John Williames son And Robt Patient to be my overseeres of this my Last will And Testament to see this same affermed(?) In Condicion I Give them 5s 6d Apece: In wittnes whereof the said Thomas Seary have hereunto sett my hand & seale the Twenty ffourth Day of November in the yeare of our Lord god 1668
