- I commit my body to Christian burial in Sonning churchyard
- I give Cisily my loving wife all my house, orchards, lands and premises both leasehold and freehold with all profits of firewood in a husbandlike manner for life, paying the yearly rent of 5s to the lord of the Quitrent, and maintaining and bringing up my grandson Henry Soundy son of my son Joseph deceased, with the assistance of my sons William and Henry, until he reaches 16.
- After the decease of myself and wife I give my son John Soundy my house or tenement and orchard wherein I now dwell for the term of my lease.
- I give my grandson Henry Soundy £10 to be paid at age 21 if he so long live by my son Henry Soundy or his heirs.
- I give my two youngest granddaughters [daughters] of my son Joseph deceased 20s apiece to be paid at age 21 if they so long live by my son Henry.
- I give my son William Soundy and his heirs forever all the orchard and upper close adjoining Thomas Purchase's tenement on the west, and the north ends of both Middle Close and Lower Close from the end of the bound between the two upper closes straight to an oak growing in the hedge by Shiplake Common and marked with a shield? for that end to be the bound between William and his brother Henry and their heirs; paying the yearly Quitrent of 2s 6d to the lord of the Quitrent, and paying an equal proportion with his brother Henry in bringing up my grandson Henry Soundy until he reaches 16.
- I give my son Henry Soundy and his heirs forever the south end of Lower Close to be bound between him and his brother William as above; paying the above legacies, and paying the yearly Quitrent of 6d to the lord of the Quitrent, and paying equally with his brother William in bringing up my grandson Henry Soundy until he reaches 16.
- The residue of all my goods and chattels, my debts and funeral expenses first paid, I give to Cisily my loving wife whom I make sole Exsecutrix ... revoking all former wills

- He must make a true and perfect account of his Administration when lawfully required.
- He must save harmless the Dean and all his bureaucrats.
- If all that is done, then this Obligation is void.
