  • After the payment of my debts and funeral expenses I give my beloved wife Ann and my son Robert Wickson all my stock of cattle, corn, hay, implements of husbandry, household goods, debts owing to me and everything else equally between them and their Executors etc, on condition that they pay the following legacies:
    • £20 to my son John Wickson
    • £20 to my daughter Mary the wife of William Browne of South Leigh
    • £20 to my daughter Ann the wife of Joseph Gunnis of Long Combe.
    • £20 to my daughter Martha Wickson.
    • All which legacies are to be paid within one year after my decease
  • I appoint my wife and son Robert joint Executor and Executrix

I Robert Wickson of the Parish of Ensham in the County of
Oxford Yeoman being in a State of Health and of a sound Mind and
Understanding do make and ordain this my last Will & Testament
for the Settling and Disposing of all my Worldly Estate Goods & Chattells
in manner following (that is to say) After the Payment of my Debts &
ffuneral Expences I Give and Bequeathe unto my beloved Wife Ann
and to my Son Robert Wickson All and singular my Stock of Cattle
Corn Hay Implements of Husbandry Household Goods Debts owing me
and Every Thing of what kind soever that I shall dye possessed of To
hold the same unto my said Wife Ann and Son Robert equally between
them and to their respective Executors Administrators and Assigns
upon Condition that they pay alike out of the said Premisses the
several Legacies or Sums of Money herein after mentioned (that is to say)
the Sum of twenty Pounds of Lawful Money of Great Brittain to my Son
John Wickson The Sum of twenty Pounds of like Lawful Money to my
Daughter Mary the Wife of William Browne of Southleigh The Sum of
twenty Pounds of like Lawful Money to my Daughter Ann the Wife of
Joseph Gunnis of Long Combe and the Sum of twenty Pounds of like lawful
Money to my Daughter Martha Wickson All which said Legacies I will and
require to be paid to my said several Children and to their respective
Executors Administrators & Assigns within One Year after my Decease
And I do hereby appoint my said Wife and Son Robert jointly to be Executor
and Executrix of this my Will In witness whereof I the said Robert
Wickson the Testator have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the twelfth
Day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & sixty-three

named Testator as and for his Last Will and
Testament in the Presence of Us who have sub
scribed our Names as Witnesses at his Request
