He gives no surname for either of his daughters.
It appears that Martha (at least) may be married, but her children have no surnames either, so have to be listed here as WRIGHT als PLOWMAN. She is not recorded as marrying in Witney, and the children were not baptised there as either WRIGHT or PLOWMAN.

  • My debts and funeral charges are to be paid.
  • I give my son Robert Wright als Plowman 1s to be paid immediately after my decease.
  • I also give him a life annuity of 30s pa after my decease and that of my wife Elizabeth.
  • I give his two children Elizabeth and Mary £5 apiece when they reach age 21.
  • I give the two children of my daughter Martha (John and Elizabeth) an annuity of 50s pa apiece until they reach age 15, and then those 50s annuities are to be paid to my daughter Martha for life.
  • I also give Martha's two children £5 apiece to be paid at age 15.
  • I give my daughter Martha one bed and bedstead and all things belonging.
  • I give my daughter Joanna £140 to be paid within one year after my decease.

In the Name of God Amen
the eight day of March Annoq Dom 1700 I John Wright als Plowman of
Curbridge in the Parish of Wittney in the County of Oxon yeoman being
of sound and perfect mind and memory praise be therefore given to
Almighty God doe make and ordaine this my present last Will and
Testament in manner and forme following (that is to say) ffirst and
principally I commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God hoping
through the merritts death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to
have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sinns and to
inherit everlasting life and my body I committ to the Earth to be decently
buryed at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And as touching the
disposition of all such temporall Estate as it hath pleased God to
bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof as followeth ffirst I will that my
debts and ffuneral charges shall be paid and discharged And I give and
bequeath unto my sonn Robert Wright als Plowman one shilling to be paid
him immediately after my decease I also give my said son Robert
Wright als Plowman the sume of thirty shillings to be paid him yearely
as an Annuity dureing his naturall life by my Executor hereafter named
after my decease and the decease of my wife Elizabeth And I give unto the
two Children of my said son Robert Wright als Plowman Elizabeth and
Mary the Sume of five pounds apiece when they shall be of the age of one
and twenty yeares And I give unto the two Children of my daughter Martha
(John and Elizabeth) the Sume of fity shillings apeice to be paid them yearly
as an Annuity till they shall come to be of the age of fifteen yeares And
afterwards that the said Sumes of fifty shillings soe ordered to be paid
as aforesaid to them the said John and Elizabeth shall be paid yearely
as an Annuity to my daughter Martha dureing her naturall life And I
alsoe give unto the two Children of my daughter Martha (John and Elizabeth)
the summe of five pounds apeice to be paid them when they shall come
.. be fifteen yeares of age And I alsoe give unto my said daughter Martha
one Bedd and Bedstead and all things belonging thereunto And I give
unto my daughter Joanna the summe of one hundred and forty pounds
to be paid her within one yeare next after my decease And I give unto my
wife Elizabeth the sume of forty pounds to be paid her within one yeare
next after my decease And my will is that all my household goods shall
be equally divided between my wife Elizabeth and my Son William
Wright als Plowman And further my will is that my wife Elizabeth
shall have the house I now live in dureing her naturall life (that is to say)
that part that was lately built All the rest and residue of my Estate both
reall and personall goods and chattells whatsoever I give unto my sonn
William Wright als Plowman whom I make full and sole Executor of
this my last Will and Testament And I doe hereby revoake disannull and
make void all former Wills and Testaments by me formerly made In
witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and
yeare above written The marke of John Wright als Plowman
